Inspiration: Vintage Smalls

I've just been web-gliding and have come across the most fabulous children's clothes collections. Made in Antwerp (of course! just about everything I love these days comes from there!) by Atelier Assemblé from original fabrics and accessories from the 1950s to the 1980s. They are purchased from stocks in old fabric stores and so all the collections consist of limited editions. The bad news (for someone like me with older kids!) is these collections are only for children aged 2 to 10 years. What a wonderful idea though, and such fresh sumptuous photograph by Anoek Luyten :) View their collections here, or if you're lucky enough to live on that side of the world there's a list of stockists here.

Okay, I can't resist... here are some more! I just love these photos.

The third pic of the green and white jumper, oh my, I want it for me!! Such a lovely range all together. The photos are awesome. I'd love photos of Cohen like this when he is older! They look like so much fun. :)

I just wanted to say... I have just spent most of this afternoon pouring over your blogs. I can not get enough. They are both amazing and extremely inspirational. I keep thinking...just one more page, oh ok, just one more page…and then I keep going. This afternoon I should be packing to go on holiday for a week. If my kids and I have no clothes, I am afraid it will be your fault!! I shall spend the next week itching to get back to have a look at what you have been up to. Thank you!

What great clothes - thanks for sharing your find. I've got some original clothes similar to these that I wore in the early 70s - unfortunately they're in storage back in England! x

There is something about these photos that fill me with a great joy. It reminds me of the simple thrills of childhood. The pure joy post checking out library books. The simple enjoyment of receiving catalogs in the mail. Good choice.
