I've just spent a swimmingly long time looking around Etsy, lost in the talented exploits of so many people... but this one has particularly caught my eye: Jfish Designs. I love the retro feel of Jennifer Fisher's Curvaceous Bowls. She's an Industrial Designer who specialises in slipcast ceramics, which all sounds very 'today' but I think there's a real 1950s aesthetic to her work. I totally love it. It reminds me of the ceramics of Australian 50s icon, Martin Boyd (these are my Boyd ramekins below) Love them all... Happy Saturday shopping!

I agree, they are beautiful!
The Etsy people(some of them!)are coming for a meet and talk at Vancouver on Tuesday- I am very excited- will tell you all about it, so I can tempt you to open a shop too- then I can come and visit and bring coffee and sweets-

Those bowls look so smooth, completely tactile. I'm a huge Martin Boyd ramekin fan, sadly I haven't managed to snare any yet, but Jen Fisher's would make a much admired alternative.
Hi Anna Maria! That sounds so cool - hope you have fun + I'll be very interested to hear what goes on. I'm starting to think in terms of 'product' now! Is that awful?
Hi Alisa! They are so tactile, aren't they? I just want to wrap my hands around them. Mine are a thrift find from nearly 20 years ago (gulp!) Thanks for stopping by!

oh! lovely fishes! such nice shapes and colours. I want to hold them too:)
Loving the shapes and those ramekins remind me of the ones we used for our Friday night tomato soup and toast fingers when we were little kiddies (I'm talking mid 70's and of course they were mission brown!).
oh, these are wonderful. I love the shape of those bowls. Very unique, without being complicated.
I love those cups! Thanks for introducing me to a wonderful ceramic artist! :)
