I've been meaning to post about this gorgeous shop for ages. It was these amazing potholders that first caught my attention. They were going to be part of my Crochet Week feature but then there were so many other things on their site worthy of adoration as well... so here we are, a complete homage to the delectable little world of Mieke Willems.
Mieke Willems is a blue shop in Antwerp run by Veronik Willems and Mieke Verbijlen. Their beautiful website has some photos of the amazing things they stock but unfortunately it's not an online shop. If you'd like to see more of their lovely things you need to visit their Flickr photostream and be prepared to be totally in love! It's not just the cute finds and gorgeous homemades, it's also the exquisite styling of every last detail that will have you gasping and bookmarking like crazy! :) They have a divine blog too which has become one of my very favourite places to visit.
I do so love these potholders and especially their fab way of displaying them as wall hangings.
Pile (have you ever seen anything so exquisite entitled Pile?!)
Dots
Garland
Another reason I love them so... they stock the beautiful needlework of Renilde from At-Swim-Two-Birds. I was in Antwerp last year visiting a very special friend of ours. He showed us around so many incredible places there and we were totally in love with this vibrant creative city... I'm rather chuffed I have a gorgeous find to tell him about now!

hey Kylie, i hope you had a nice weekend, i was too busy with my film (that didn't work) to visit other blogs, but its nice to be back and so funny to see my 'obsessions':) on your post, this is the material for again another mobile, haha. The pincushions are almost sold out, so i have to make new ones,it's very funny to do but i'm always running out of time
:(
That is gorgeous! who'd 've thought crochet could be so wonderful???
Brilliant find, I'll add them to my inspiration list.
It's just downright DANGEROUS coming by to visit here. I love that you keep throwing new loveliness up in front of me but I just haven't the time for this much inspiration and bloggy places to play!
These are Gorgeous pics. Love the subtle colours and the crochet pot holders look so beautiful arranged on the wall like that. Might have to try making a dew of those.
Thanks for the fab comments! Sorry for the system overload Tania ;) I found all the inspirational finds frustrating at first coz I couldn't keep up with ideas + I'd forget them. But I've started keeping a book of ideas I get from others' work, like the Mieke Willems "Pile" got me thinking about layering a brooch with different mediums, not just fabric etc. Something to come back to on a rainy day? ;) Kylie x
Just brilliant Kylie- to be honest I don't mind the overload of loveliness!...
Hey, that wasn't any Doug, that was me...how funny and odd!
