Trimming the spread...
Remember this post about my found bedspread and the fabulous trimming competition at Loz & Dinny? Well, it's D-day for entries to be completed and I've been cutting and sewing and embroidering and even beading myself into a frenzy to meet the deadline. So, here it is... a frock with trimming! Hmm, I just noticed you can still see the raised ring from the embroidery hoop... an iron would have been a good idea before taking pics... ;) There are so many mistakes in this dress but my vanity made me artfully conceal them. Still, it's a mighty fine trim, isn't it? Thanks to the lovely Gemma at Loz & Dinny for making it all happen :)

wow, it looks like a very expensive vintage designer dress! so fancy! well done!
Good grief woman, you have outdone yourself! Love it. I had no idea that you were making a dress - wow, I was thinking 'cushion cover' or something far more lame. You're brilliant.
Thanks everyone! It has been rather full-on trying to get it done but I seem to work well to a deadline... you know that last minute motivation to get assignments done when at school? That's me! Last minute Kylie :) Coffee on the deck is rather nice, Mitsy, but I was imagining gin in that tea cup! ;) K
That is one super funky dress. Great work.
Another blow your mind away use of this trim. This is such an exciting challenge. Well done. Cherrie

Bedspread + trimming was a marriage made in heaven and your embroidery makes it perfect !
Hellooo! You look wonderful in that dress! That fringe is just the perfect detail. YOU are the clever, you know.
Great look Kylie!
What a sensational transformation. Much more stylish on you than on some oldie's bed!
Nice work Michelle. At first glance, that trim does not seem 'wearable' at all but you have made it look great. Two old things into one new fab thing.
I would KILL for a dress like that. YOu look amazing!

Totally glamorous....perfect for a tea party!
oh, put a few filters on this photo and it seriously could be mistaken for a photo of my mother in the 60s. The glasses/dress/cup.
just gorgeous!
