I Knit Brisbane!

Some more pics of the craftiest thing that's happened in Brisbane for many a year... 800 crafters from all over the city have wielded their needles and hooks for installations around the CBD. From the simple crocheted green heart popping up in the most unlikely places to the full-blown yarn-bombing of statues and public art, I have to say I'm feeling pretty proud of my birthplace at the moment. Maybe it isn't so bad living here after all... ;)

More information and photos can be found here and here.

What fun! I can imagine that every encounter with one of these knitted interventions would make you smile! Wish I could see it in person. Have a lovely weekend Kylie.

I love the image of the kangaroo in the turtle neck jumper! Now that's what I call street art!

I had a good ol' belly laugh at that snuggly kangaroo!

Oh I love this. How fabulous to see so much yarn bombing goodness.

I think the kangaroo is my favourite too.

Ooh, you got some great shots! My camera refuses to upload to my computer at the moment, but yours are much, much better! Love guerilla art and this is amazing.
